Truffle Hunt and French Brunch: French Black Truffle Season in Bungendore with Chef Christophe & Largo

Join Chef Christophe at his truffle farm in Bungendore for a charming, hands-on French black truffle experience. Start the morning with a truffle hunt led by Largo, Christophe’s lively Border Collie. After the outdoor adventure, enjoy a live cooking demo featuring Egg Brouillard — a French-style truffled scrambled egg served with baguette, salad, and tea or coffee.As you enjoy the rustic long-table brunch, Chef Christophe will share farm stories, culinary tips, and insights into truffle cultivation. Guests can also purchase fresh truffles and handcrafted truffle products before the event concludes at 12:30 pm.

As the previous years, The Alliance Française is bringing back the French tradition of La Fête de la Musique.
Every year in France, on 21st of June, every french cities turns into a giant party to celebrate the beginning of summer and music. 

This joyfull event is the occasion to celebrate the well being of music and spend a good time in good company. And even though it's the start of winter here, we've got plenty of warmth in our hearts, right?

So join us Friday 20 June, from 6pm to 11pm for a party à la française. Enjoy live performaces - classic, piano, pop & rock and a DJ set, where you will show your best dance moves. And of course, there’ll be delicious food and hot or cold drinks to keep the good vibes flowing!

Truffle demonstration & tasting with Chef Christophe

As part of the So France So Good campaign, which celebrates French gastronomy in Australia from 17 June to 1 July 2025, the Alliance Française is delighted to welcome the renowned chef Christophe for an exceptional truffle demonstration and tasting on 26 June! 

So if you want to enjoy a diner à la française, join us on 26 June from 6-8pm. Chef Christophe will learn you how to prepare delicious fresh black truffles, providing printed recipes and cooking demonstrations. You'll then have the chance to try them with a cauliflower velouté and chantilly cream, and cherry on the cake, enjoy chocolate truffled chouquettes for dessert!
